LaBelle’s Branzino Recipe Is Both Wholesome and Delicious
Since Patti LaBelle was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes back in 1995, she has changed her diet considerably. Her culinary skills and the necessity for wholesome and delicious food led her to discover fresh and healthy dishes that pack flavor. According to LaBelle, she is incorporating foods that are better for her and her family. So, instead of frying, she would consider baking and would use fresh garlic and hot peppers to heighten the flavor of her meals.
The Sautéed Branzino Can Be Made With a Few Simple Ingredients
LaBelle’s sautéed branzino quickly became an instant hit with her granddaughter, Gia, so Patti decided to share the recipe. The ingredients include branzino fillets, fresh garlic, salt, pepper, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, and a few tablespoons of grapeseed oil. The final result is a dish that feeds both the body and soul and is completely wholesome. Being a home cooking enthusiast, LaBelle appeared on the Breakfast Club radio show to talk recipes, haters, and more.
The flaky European bass has to be sprinkled on both sides with the spices and should be cooked in a large skillet over medium heat. The fish skin should be facing the pan first and should be cooked for three to four minutes at each side. When it is ready, the branzino should be placed on a paper towel that would remove any excess oil, and then it should be served promptly. Those who have tried to recreate the dish following LaBelle’s’ recipe shared that it is truly tasty and perfect for any holiday table.
