They say that kids are great at making friends without prejudice, and they’re right, judging by the case of this two-year-old boy named Theo and his five-foot-tall skeleton friend, called Benny. Benny is a Halloween decoration that Theo found in the basement, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. The best thing about this unexpected friendship, according to Theo’s mom, Abigail, is that the duo seems to bring joy and smiles to everyone who sees them at the grocery’s, the beach, and everywhere else they go.
An Unlikely Skele-Friend
It all started on September 15th when Theo found the skeleton in the family’s Halloween decoration boxes. He pulled it up the stairs from the basement, and his mom couldn’t stop smiling at the instant connection the two of them had. So, she went along with this unlikely skele-friendship and has decided to share it with the world through her Instagram profile. Her goal in doing so is to “spread some happiness” in people and bring them joy, even if it’s just for a couple of minutes.
Theo & Benny, the Halloween Skeleton
Instead of using him as a decoration for Halloween, Theo actually wanted to have a playdate with Benny. Their bond was so strong that Theo would refuse to get into the car if Benny wasn’t riding next to him. As a result, the skele-friend started joining the boy everywhere — the beach, the grocery store, the playground, you name it. Seeing such a sweet bond in the uncertain times we live in can really brighten up your day, and that’s exactly what the pair have been doing to locals.
As kids, we’ve all had our fair share of odd friendships, be it with toys or a Halloween decoration. Yet, the case with Theo and his friend Benny, the skeleton definitely steals the spotlight, and we don’t mind that at all!
